27 March 2010
Be-Free participated in Bahrain Books Exhibition during the period 17 to 27 March, by conducting mini-workshops on essential protection skills titled "I am A Strong, Smart, and Safe Child", along with protection skills over the internet, and basic life skills. The basic life skills workshops' titles varied every day.
Some of the titles covered were "I respect others", "My thoughts are the source of my happiness", "I develop with responsibility", "My feelings protect me", and other titles. On the 21st of March a special workshop was conducted titled "I add beauty to my family" on the occasion of family day. Children were introduced to simple ways they can add beauty to their family, and at the end of the workshop children created cards for their family and family members, decorated with bright colors and phrases that describe their feelings towards their family.
During the exhibition more than 1850 children were trained, and booklets of essential protection skills were distributed. Each child was given a paper crown printed on it: "I am A Strong, Smart, and Safe Child". It is worth mentioning that Be-Free participation in the exhibition was in-cooperation with Ministry of Culture and Information, and sponsored by Esterad Investment Company.
