Be-Free participated with a paper in the conference "Role of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations in the Prevention of Disability in the Gulf" organized by Bahrain Society for Child Development.
Be-Free paper was titled "Disabled Person...a different perspective for a different life", highlighted the importance of focusing on the disabled person as a Human which is the first and essential perspective, and other steps are built on it in dealing and servicing the disabled person. The paper discusses the impact of this perspective if built as a culture, on the disabled person, his parents, and the society, and how it can reduce the negative effects of disability on many levels. This participation is among other activities of the program "I'm Smart Strong, and Safe ...despite my Disability", which is concerned about the protection of children and teens with disability from abuse, and building their personality. The program was launched in 2009, under the patronage and presence of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Disability, and aims among other goals to raise awareness of the society to focus on the Human perspective of the disabled person rather than the disability.
