In Partnership with Women's Learning Partnership (WLP) workshops on leadership skills for children

14 February 2011

Be-Free started a series of workshops on leadership skills for children in grades 1 to 3 and 4 to 6. These workshops are part of the leadership program "Yes...I Can" that is conducted in Partnership with Women's Learning Partnership (WLP). The workshops are based on the concept that leadership is the ability to bring positive change

to ourselves, others, and our community, however small this change is.

Moreover these workshops instills the concepts that help children to be leaders in their community, such as raising their self-esteem, the ability to express their opinion, listening to others, respecting the different opinions, and having Human values as the cornerstone in bringing any positive change.

Be-Free has also worked with WLP in developing a training manual on leadership skills for teens, that covers the series on "Yes... I Can" Workshops. More than 500 teen has been trained on "Yes...I Can" workshops, and the feedback was positive with many teens asking for more of such workshops as it helps them in their lives, decision makings, and the way they look at themselves.

Be-Free works with WLP on spreading leadership concepts using the training manual for teens and the one for children to children and teens in different countries.
