March 2013
Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and Be-Free Program of Bahrain Women Association - for Human Development have agreed to cooperate in two main areas. The first involves a group of RCSI students volunteering in Be-Free Program, where they get trained on the main concepts of respecting others and learning from differences, some concepts of working with children, and techniques of storytelling. After the training the students will present the story “We learn and have fun with differences” that conveys the message of respecting others and learning from differences to children in some schools.
The second area was donating some of Be-Free training manuals about protection of children and teens from abuse to RCSI Learning Resource Center. The training manuals were presented by Dr. Rana Al Sairafi, Executive Manager of Be-Free Program, and Ms. Meena Kadhimi, Bahrain Women Association board member to Ms. Evelyn Anand the Learning Resource Center Manager who accepted and thanked Be-Free for adding an important resource to RCSI library.
