Be-Free program of Bahrain Women Association -for Human Development participated in the Mother and Child Expo that was held in Bahrain Exhibition Center, during the period 9-11 Feb. At Be-Free stand, a special corner for children was for storytelling, where children listened to the story of “Salem and the smart crayons” that aims at empowering children with the essential protection skills.
Moreover, the children were trained through interactive mini-workshops on the concept of bullying and how it is an unacceptable behavior that does not respect others, and encouraged them to choose more respectful actions. At the end of the training session children reflected what they learned through drawing and coloring.
The total number of trained children were 97. Also, the stand received many visitors whom were introduced to Be-Free Program, its goals, activities, and projects for children, teenagers, parents, and specialists. Be-Free publications and stories were disseminated to the visitors. All Be-Free publications are available online, too for free download.
