The first quarter of 2019 has witnessed a special turnout by private and government schools and kindergartens to the workshops presented by Be Free program, part of Bahrain Women’s Association - for Human Development, that reached 435 as total of trained children, teenagers and parents.
The requested workshops varied, some aimed at assisting children to protect themselves from abuse and unhealthy and harmful relationships, such as the workshop titled “How to Recognize Misleading Relationships”, “I am a Strong, Smart and Safe Child”, and “The Internet & I” for Protection from the Dangers of smart devices.
As well as presenting some workshops that contribute to training children to respect the other and introduce them to the concept of tolerance in everyday life and its role in dealing with others, through the workshop “Tolerance is a Value in My Life” and “I’m Respectful and I Respect Others”, in addition to providing the children with skills that help them protect themselves from bullying, such as “Bulling is inhumane and unacceptable” and “I Step in the Circle of Strength”. The Workshop titled “Creating My Personal Vision” concentrated on assisting teenagers in establishing their personal vision for their future to be more bright and successful.
The program also presented workshops for parents “Parents' Role in Protecting their Children from Abuse and Neglect”.
