“Be Free” program, part of Bahrain Women Association for Human Development has published a new story for children titled “In my heart, beauty lives”. The story addresses an area that children think about it a lot, and that is comparing what they possess with what others have.
The story aims at helping children to see that their non-materialistic possessions such as love and education are big blessings and of great value, and that a person's value is not related to what they have, but with what they give. Moreover, everything we have puts a responsibility on us to give through it to others. The story reinforces the importance of giving, no matter how small it is, because it rewards the giver with a sense of happiness and bliss.
“Be Free” presented the story to many children in different places, including children of Alnahda Kindergarten (part of the Alnahda Association), children of Middle East Schools and other children who have participated in Bahrain Schools and Childcare Expo. About 250 children enjoyed and interacted positively with the story that was demonstrated through a fun and interactive puppet show.
