“Be-Free" program of Bahrain Women Association - for Human Development issued a booklet titled “Yes, Set Smart Rules with Your Children". The booklet provides parents with a set of concepts that help in setting rules in the family, such rules will encourage children’s commitment. It also addresses the importance of rules in teaching children proper behaviors, protect them from trying to copycat behaviors of others, and agreeing with them on the right limits.
The booklet introduced some steps that make children adopt parents’ rules and abide by them, and how to help them understand the fact that such rules are set for their good.
Moreover, the booklet clarified the characteristics of successful rules, their positive impact on children's commitment, and how to be flexible with the rules without bending them, as parents have to be empathic with their children in different circumstances.
