Bahrain Women Association – for Human Development organized an interactive workshop that was introduced by Dr. Suroor Qarooni; a trainer, certified coach, and a consultant, titled “Fostering the Artistic Spirit in Children” held on 19 Jan 2021. The workshop discussed the different ways to foster the artistic spirit and the innovation to solve solutions. The first question was: "Does the world nowadays need more painters and artists?"
Dr. Qarooni emphasized that strengthening this artistic spirit would be reflected in children’s words and actions, as being involved in art makes them calmer. She discussed three main things that hinder the artistic spirit, such as considering art as something to do in free time only.
The children’s various artistic talents are a gift and must be taken care of and developed. Moreover, talents are supportive elements that lead the person to happily achieve his mission in life, said Dr. Qarooni.
The participants engaged interactively in the workshop, and the artist Mariam Rajab, participated with her experience. Mariam practiced art from an early age, and it positively affected her life, and now she passed this spirit to her children.
