What are the awardees categories?
One award will be specified for each of the bellow categories
- Organizations that work directly or indirectly work with children (schools, hospitals,...)
- NGOs
- Individuals
- Children and teen (less than 18 years)
What is the award?
For each winning category, there will be:
- $2000
- A "Best practice" trophy and certificate
- An invitation to participate in the "International conference on: Promoting Effective strategies for the Prevention of Online Pornography, Trafficking and Child abuse" that will be held in May 2009 in Bahrain
What are the areas that the award focus on?
Awards are presented to best practices in child protection and prevention that are utilizing creativity and new dimensions. The practices should focus on one or more of the bellow areas:
- Online protection (abuse, pornography,....)
- Cyber bullying
- Sexual abuse
- Emotional abuse, physical abuse or neglect
- Society and/or parent awareness
What are the areas of implementation?
The practice should bring up a solution or participate in awareness with helpful tips to protect children.
The practice can be utilizing one or more of the bellow practices:
- Project
- Multimedia
- Law (for government, school, hospital, ...)
- Art
- Other.. (please specify)
Nomination requirements:
To nominate for the award, the bellow are required:
- A maximum of 500 words description of the practice
- Any related materials (cds, photos, media, newspapers, quotes,...)
- Two recommendation letters
