Be-Free Center communicates and cooperates with different UN Human Rights bodies and agencies. It is also keen to review and study the recommendations of the UN Child Rights Committee and specially in areas of child protection from abuse.

Summer with Be-Free

21 June 2010

Be-Free Summer Program has started with activities, games, and special skills. The first part of this summer children are learning how to choose nice words when speaking to others, to understand their rights and responsibilities, and to think with a smile( positive thinking ).
The activities varies according to the age of children

Essential Protection Skills Workshops

8 July 2010

Be-Free participated in the family day organized by Kanoo Health Center on Thursday 1st July 2010. Be-Free conducted mini-workshops for children of the doctors, nurses, and all the workers and visitors of the Center.
Booklets with the essential protection skills were distributed along with crowns that has the slogan "I am a Strong, Smart, and Safe Child"

New Radio Episodes

23 July 2010

Be-Free has started a new series of radio episodes titled "Enjoy summer with your children". This series discussed how to plan for a balanced summer that covers physical, spiritual, and mental activities. It has also covered the main challenges of summer and some ways of overcoming these challenges.

A Law Competition

"Protect Children Now" Movement announces a law competition to develop a model law to protect children from abuse. ne of the goals of this competition is to encourage the study of child laws, and to participate in filling the legislation needs in the area of child protection laws. The movement hopes that this law will encourage MPs and Shoura Council

The holy month of Ramadan is a good opportunity to teach our children Ramadan Values of love, caring about others, patience, forgiveness,...etc. Be-Free has coloured some of its activities with the bright colours of Ramadan, to instil these values between family members.

Be-Free in a new look

Be-Free is back again in a new look after migrating to a new mailing system. Be-Free received many emails during the last month asking about its absence, one of these emails was from an NGO working on issues related to women and children in Dominican Republic.

The Bridge to Ourselves

Both Be-Free and Bahrain Polytechnic College formed a club for college students. The club helps students to understand and communicate with themselves, discover their capabilities, develop their character, control their lives, and help their peers too.

The first condensed course of this club, titled "the bridge to ourselves", started with a group of students, and covers 4 phases:

Be-Free launched the booklet "I am Smart, Strong and Safe Youth...over the Internet" with the presence of private and public school representatives, NGOs working with children and youth, and some diplomatic representatives. This booklet introduces essential protection skills over the internet for young people ages 11 to 17 years old.
