“Be-Free” Participates in “Best Practices” Conference for the Winners of H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Award for the Arab Youth

 Be-Free attended the award ceremony of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Award, that Be-Free was honored in 2012 for  providing programs that advances youth in different areas. 

Be-Free has also participated in the conference “Best Practices” for the Winners of H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Award for the Arab Youth, that was organized by Family Development Foundation, and King Hussain Foundation, during the period 5-6 January in Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates, with the presence of H.M. Queen Noor Al-Hussein, the chairperson of the board of trustees of King Hussein Foundation.

Be-Free Launches “Instilling Universal Knowledge” Project

Be-Free Program launched “Instilling Universal Knowledge” Project, which is a pioneer project that helps educational institutes with its various levels in adopting innovative and renewable methods, that make the educational institute a place that students long for. The launching ceremony presented the project, its importance on the learning cycle and its future impact, along with its deliverables. Many officials and specialists from ministries and institutes, such as ministry of Education, Governorates, and local newspapers attended the ceremony.

Be-Free Conducts series of Specialized Training Workshops

March 2014

Be-Free conducted a series of specialized training workshops. One workshop was “It’s my right to understand my rights” which concentrates on some of the main concepts of Child Rights in the Child Rights Convention, and how to deliver it to children in age-appropriate ways. The training tackled important differences, such as differentiating between Essential rights in the family, and the luxurious things children love to buy or have, and the difference between parents respecting their opinions and the role of their parents in protecting and disciplining them.

Remarkable Interaction of schools and Educational Institutes with “Instilling Universal Knowledge” Project

After launching “Instilling Universal Knowledge” Project in February 2014, Be-Free conducted several Introductory meetings, that were attended by school principals, supervisors, and teachers to discuss the project, its applications, and its effects on the schools, students, teachers, parents, and the community, on the long and short term.

The Start of a New Series of Workshops for Parents and Caregivers

May 2014

Be-Free Program started a new series of workshops for parents, that has received a large turnout. These workshops have been conducted for parents of children and teens with disability as well. This series focuses on two key elements that underlie the empowerment of parents and helping them in building the Humane and responsible personality of their children in an interactive and experience sharing environment. The first element is the importance of the Human existence, that helps children and teens in raising their self-esteem, increasing their self-worth, taking responsibility, choosing success, building self-motivation, etc.

Awarding the winning schools in implementing “Instilling Universal Knowledge” project

Be-Free Program awarded the winning schools and kindergartens in implementing “Instilling Universal Knowledge” project, and appreciated their efforts despite the very short time between the launching of the project, at the end of March this year, and the World Day for Cultural Diversity on 21st May, which was the last occasion the project celebrates in the current academic year.

“The Human Being with Disability... A Humanistic Perspective” A New Publication for Be-Free Program

July 2014

Be-Free Program launched the second phase of the project “The Human Being with Disability” in the presence of a group of specialists and social workers in the area of disability of governmental and non-governmental organizations. During the launch, Be-Free Presented the first phase of the project, which was launched in 2009 under the patronage of the UN Special Rapporteur on Disability, along with its achievements that included workshops for children and teens with disability, and for their parents and caregivers, papers, participation in specialized conferences, and many awareness activities and events. The details of the second phase of the project was discussed as well, and areas of cooperation with the organizations working in the field of disability to help in building the Humane personality of the disabled , the parents role, and raising society awareness.
The booklet “The Human Being with Disability... A Humanistic Perspective” which is intended for parents of children with disability, was launched and its main topics were discussed along with the sought change. The booklet was distributed to the audience, and the organizations working in this area to distribute it to their members of parents with disabled children.

“Love” A Movie From A Series of “Be-Free” Informative Short Movies for Parents

One of the important goals of Be-Free Program is to convey the ideas and concepts that support the parents in building confidence, strong relationships with their children, creating a family environment that contributes in developing children’s personalities, and protecting them from abuse. To achieve this goal, Be-Free utilizes different ways such as conducting a variety of workshops for parents in schools, clubs, social centers, etc. And publishing informative booklets in different subjects, which get disseminated electronically and as hard copies, in addition to the articles, and weekly cards that the program posts on different social media channels, such as instagram, twitter, facebook, and whatsapp.

“Color Your Life With Your Choices” Series of Booklets with New Dynamic and Interactive Designs for Students and Parents

After the success of “Color Your Life With Your Choices” Series of Booklets, and the great demand from the administration, parents, and students of intermediate and secondary schools to conduct training workshops for students on the topics of this series, Be-Free created a new design for the booklets to be more attractive for parents and students. More scenarios, and interactive questions were added to help students think, analyze, and make decisions in difficult situations they might go through.

Be-Free Develops a Trainer’s Guide for the Workshop Series “I'm an Influential Person”

October 2014

Be-Free Program released a trainer’s guide for a series of workshops titled “I’m an Influential Person” for children in Primary School. It includes the details of four workshops: “I'm a Leader and Influential”, ”I Have Whatever I Need to Create Positive Influence”, “My Ethical Personality”, “I Create Opportunities for Influence”. These workshops seek to instill the importance of the child’s humanistic existence in this world, and increasing his self-esteem in addition to focusing on his ability to positively influence his surroundings, and community.

Be-Free Launches the Trainer's Guide to the Series of Workshops “I Love My Family and Interact with It”

November 2014

Be-Free added a new training guide to the training guides it develops for the benefit of teachers, trainers, and those who work with children and teens. This guide “I Love My Family and Interact with It” is for children in primary school, and consists of four workshops designed in a way that adds fun, excitement, and interaction for children, and on the other hand it is very easy to follow and apply for the teachers and trainers. The guide contains details that help teachers and trainers to apply these workshops at schools, clubs, or any other place without additional cost, and utilizing simple tools.
The title of the four training workshops are as follows: “My parents’ Love is honest and does not change” , “My Humanistic Presence in My Family is Important”, “I Am Active and Influential in My Family”, and “I Contribute in the Development of My Family”. Each workshop consists of a dynamic introductory exercise, and an interactive and fun main exercise where all the children participate and reach the conclusion together.

Be-Free Interactive Workshops

December 2014

Be-Free is still conducting its various workshops to private and public schools, children and youth clubs, social centers, social and cultural gatherings, and others, in their premises, and in Be-Free building. These workshops are conducted for different age groups, mainly children, teens, parents, and specialists in areas related to children. The special thing about Be-Free workshops is that they are interactive, and help children, teens, or adult participants to reach the conclusion themselves in fun and creative ways. Be-Free trained 226 children, 104 teens, and 42 parents during the month of November.
